Yeah... Sorry I haven't been posting too much recently. For the unawares: I recently relocated from awesome Austin, TX to dirty but loveable New York City (well, Brooklyn if you wanna be a dick about it, and BK totally rocks anyway).
So from May 4 to June 12, here is what I have been doing:
1. Saw Valention Achek Deng at Book People. Go to http://www.valentinoachakdeng.com/ to find out about this amazing individual. I demand you all buy this book now!
2. Went to Denton for one last hoo-rah! It was Dave's last weekend in town for a long while. Turns out it's also my last weekend in town for a long while too, because a couple of days after I left, my parents bought a house in Ft. Worth.
3. Sold the jetta. I miss Gargamel and the crayon smell and the previous owner alot, but it had to be done.
4. Had my last day at LCRA. I can't complain about that job at all, except for it wasn't exactly what I wanted to be doing.
5. We threw a pretty wicked going away party! Thanks to the lovely and amazing Lauren for giving this good-bye party it's Lone Star flavor! Thanks to Spec's liquor for being 95% awesome! (the -5% is a mix-up on my part, which never the less was a hige pain in the ass). Check the photos here:

Sorry, my computer no likey the vox setup. Boo.
6. Had a garage sale. Notable: selling my speakers and my drums for waaay cheap. Also, for conversations involving Russians who speak with a german accent, visiting NYC for Macy'sThanksgiving Day Parade and ethnically insensitive advertisements.
7. Said good bye to Maria, which was sad and also sort of funny. She and her family are AMAZING! I wish her the best, best luck with her ridiculously difficult bid for U.S. citizenship.
8. Packed up about 75% of my crap, at least, and loaded it into the van, with lots of help from Lauren, Dan, Buster and Scott.
9. Went on a totally epic road trip up to NYC with Buster. The next post will be our road journal.
10. Met up with a bunch of new and old awesome people, which is really great and makes me think the summer is going to be totally rad!
11. Wrote a big long article about Matt and Kim, a great little band I interviewed in Austin, who happen to live right around the corner of where I just moved into.
So, see, I've been like, CRAZY busy! Justifys the lack of blogging, don't you agree? And the best part is that, in two days, I'll be gone again for my friends' Ryan and Destri's totally wonderful Italian Wedding!
